Sleep inside an actual repurposed Sri Lankan fishing boat — a stay you’ll never forget. Each room features restored boats turned into unique beds, original artwork, a private bathroom, mosquito net, USB charging, and optional A/C for extra comfort.

Dorm Rooms (Female & Mixed)
Our airy dorms (female-only and mixed) include A/C, private bathrooms with hot showers, and beds suspended with repurposed fishing rope. Each bed has a double mattress, mosquito net, reading light, USB/power outlet, and locker. Ocean-facing balcony with hammock chairs is perfect for relaxing.

What is the booking and cancellation policy at Hangtime Hostel?
Booking Policy
All prices are quoted and charged in LKR (Sri Lankan Rupees). Full Payment is required at the time of arrival in cash.
To make your reservation please complete and submit the online form to book your Hangtime Hostel reservation. We will then email you a confirmation email which acknowledges that Hangtime Hostel has received your booking.
Our website booking form is powered by Abode Booking to ensure that your details and payment are safe and secure.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival incur a 20% fee. Cancellations/amendments made less than 72 hours prior to arrival incur a 50% fee. Cancellations made within 24 hours before arrival incur 100% fee. No refunds on early departure.
Damages, breakages, and accommodations left in an unreasonable state will be charged accordingly. Credit cards may be charged in accordance with cancellation/bookings policy and held as a bond against damages.

Do your rooms have air conditioning?
Yes! All private rooms have optional A/C for an extra Rs. 1,000 per night, and two dorms come with built-in A/C.
What’s special about the Boat Bed rooms?
They’re made from real Sri Lankan fishing boats, restored and transformed into cozy beds — a truly unique coastal experience.
Are bathrooms private or shared?
All rooms, including dorms, come with private bathrooms with hot water.
Can I book a female-only dorm?
Absolutely. We offer a 4-bed female dorm with all the same amenities as our mixed dorms.
Do rooms have mosquito protection?
Yes, each bed is equipped with individual mosquito nets, and private rooms are fully sealed for extra comfort.
